The holidays got us feeling pretty nostalgic, so we decided to buy a bunch of awesome toys we wanted when we were kids in the 1990s. Some of these toys are from the 80s and some are from the 2000s, but we think all 90s kids will remember them. And even if you're not a 90s kid, you still might recognize a few. This is The D-List!

  • Also we know some of these toys aren’t *from* the 90s, but they were nostalgic to all of us! What was your favorite car toy?

    • As a german, guess what? The german commercial for the "driving simulator" was pure nostalgia and I, too remember it being MUCH larger. I know I hit my sister with it once but I remember that to be a serious, life threatening attack, at least that's how i was punished ^^

  • Uhh, micro machines?? I used to have a pretty killer collection. I took them to our babysitters, and it happened to be the day my mom fired her. It was all such a blur, I left them behind and when we tried to get them back, the family claimed I never brought them. Also my allowance was $1 at the end of every week. I got it for making my bed every day. I would immediately spend it on a hot wheels or matchbox car at the toy store in the mall. My parents kept my giant box of them, and soon I'll be able to give them to my own kid : ) Also also: 1. Crash Test Dummies 2. Matchbox that had spring loaded "crash" panels, where if that part of the car were hit, the panel would flip to expose a damaged version. My friend devised the brilliant idea to make our own by leaving a car behind the back tire of my dad's truck, so that when he left for work, he would drive over it and smash it. Car would come out looking pretty awesome.

I also have the hot wheels city fold and go play set . They still make them but are cheaply made and smaller.
